Carolina Reef Growers is a division of Star Ridge Aquatics, LLC. We are a complete reef aquarium supplier specializing in aquacultured coral. Most of the coral available is propagated at our aquaculture facility in Carthage, NC and is well suited for captivity. The items that make a captive reef possible are extensive, but we carry what really works. We only sell the products that we use in our own propagation.
We grow a wide variety of coral including SPS, LPS, Leather, Polyps and Mushroom corals. Most of the corals are mounted on aragonite reef plugs, but some of them may be attached to natural live rock rubble.
Our supply of fish is limited to 'Reef Safe' fish. These fish are characterized by those that will live in harmony with the corals and invertebrates that inhabit the reef. None of these fish will consume the live corals and many of them are actually reef cleaners. These fish will eat nusance algae and others will clean corals of damaging parasites. Many of these fish are captive bred but some still must be wild collected using the best method for the fishes safety and to make the smallest impact on the natural reef.
Visits to Carolina Reef Growers are welcomed during our operating hours of Wednesday - Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm. All mail orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air, FedEx Overnite or USPS Express only. These shipments are packed in styrofoam lined boxes with heat or cold packs.
**North Carolina and South Carolina Residents: overnight shipping for a Flat Rate of $15.00 per box on all livestock!!!
